Introduction
An all-in-one virtual crypto wallet, was designed with the aim of revolutionizing the way small and medium scale enterprises in Indonesia manage their finances. With a focus on tracking cashflow and expenses, connecting with potential clients and businesses, and expanding their clientele, Toko presents a unique solution for businesses looking to improve their operations and grow their customer base. This case study will delve into the design process of Toko, exploring the challenges and opportunities faced along the way and highlighting the innovative features and functionality that set it apart from other crypto wallets on the market.
Problem
Small and medium scale enterprise market is facing significant challenges when it comes to managing their finances. Traditional banking solutions are often time-consuming, slow and expensive, making it difficult for businesses to keep track of their cash flow and expenses. On the other hand, the crypto market presents new opportunities for businesses looking to streamline their financial management and improve their operations. However, existing crypto wallets are often complex, lacking the features and functionality required to meet the specific needs of Indonesian businesses. This presents a major gap in the market and a pressing need for a virtual crypto wallet solution that is designed specifically for the Indonesian small and medium scale enterprise market.
Solution
The app caters to the needs of Indonesian small and medium scale enterprises, offering a comprehensive virtual crypto wallet solution that meets their unique financial management requirements. The wallet's QR scan function makes it easy for businesses to make and receive payments, while the coin transfer function allows for seamless transfers between businesses and their customers. Additionally, Toko offers a web console for admin users, providing businesses with a centralized and secure platform to manage their financial operations. This web console offers powerful insights into cash flow and expenses, enabling businesses to make informed financial decisions and stay ahead of the game.
Process
The design of the all-in-one wallet was a multi-step process that involved close collaboration between the development and me.
Research
As a designer, I conducted thorough research on the Indonesian market and the target audience to understand their needs and pain points. This helped me get a clear understanding of the challenges faced by small and medium scale enterprises in the country and how I could design a solution to address them.
Extract insights
After completing the research, I extracted important insights and identified key areas for improvement. These insights were used to inform the design process and ensure that the solution was tailored to meet the specific needs of the target audience.
Ideate and sketch
I used the insights gained from the research to generate a range of ideas and concepts for the design. I then created sketches and wireframes to visualise these concepts and help me refine and choose the best ideas to pursue further.
Design & Prototype
Created a high-fidelity prototype that demonstrated the design solution. This prototype was used to test and validate the design and to receive feedback from stakeholders.
Iterate
Based on the feedback received, I made refinements to the design and iterated on the solution until it met the needs of the target audience.
Design evaluation
Evaluated the design to ensure that it was effective and met the desired outcomes. I tested the design with users and received their feedback, which was used to further refine and improve the solution.
Build
I handed over the final design to the development team who used it to build the product. Throughout the development process, I worked closely with the development team to ensure that the solution was implemented correctly and met the desired outcomes.

Results
The results of the project were positive, with the product being well-received by young business owners who were eager to adopt new solutions to improve their operations. However, older business owners were less receptive to the idea of a new solution and were more resistant to change. Despite this, the project was still considered a success, as it provided a much-needed solution to a growing problem in the business world.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the All-in-one virtual crypto wallet design project was a successful endeavor. As a solo designer, I was able to research, extract insights, ideate and sketch, design and prototype the solution to meet the needs of small and medium scale enterprises. The solution was well received by young business owners who appreciated its simplicity and ease of use, while some older business owners struggled to adapt to a new solution. Despite these challenges, the project demonstrated the power of design in solving real-world problems and creating meaningful solutions for users.
